such a bittersweet, blue day today…our university of memphis tigers lost in the ncaa tournament finals last night. heavy hearts this morning! the sweet part, though, is the amazing season they’ve had, and that they made it so far. the joneses enjoyed every single game, and are so proud of our student-athletes and coach calipari. ( joey dorsey, please note: we really do want you to be mayor!)
people often request color recommendations, and so, in honor of our home team, here are some of mrs. jones’s favorite blue hues: benjamin moore’s 2051.60 (bird’s egg), 2051.50 (tranquil blue), 2062.60 (blue hydrangea) & 2050.40 (florida keys blue)(which i think is most like the bird’s egg that the little joneses brought back from the farm, along with those beautiful turkey feathers, pictured above) pratt & lambert’s 24.26 (boucle) & 26.29 (osprey), sherwin-williams’s rain (6219) and farrow & ball’s # 95 (black-blue). (ooh, and i’m planning an exciting project with that last one…check back for more.)
to cheer myself up a bit, i ‘m going to toss in a picture of my own favorite “boy in blue”…here is will (the biggest of the little joneses) proudly wearing memphis university school blue, fiercely defending the goal for the 7th grade owls.
