it’s the best week of the year: seven heavenly days on kiawah island.  we spend every possible minute on the beach, boogie-boarding, kite-flying, seining, shelling, digging the deepest hole on the beach.  but for mrs. jones, it’s not all  bike rides and bocce ball…always on the lookout for beautiful colors and finishes, i took a competitive-intelligence-gathering tour of kiawah’s new ocean course clubhouse.  a highly placed source within the club, under the strict condition of anonymity, revealed to me the benjamin moore colors used in the interior decorating scheme: louisburg green (hc-113)(exactly the color of the ocean right there), weathersfield moss (hc-110), huntington beige (hc-21) and wilmington tan (hc-34), together with creamy woodwork that has been softly dragged with a raw umber glaze.  outside (where i could take photos), the ceilings on the porches have been painted benjamin moore’s soft sky, #807.  gorgeous!

now if you’ll excuse me, i’m going to wiggle my toes around in the sand and count my blessings one more time.
