travelogue: chicago

fall break: time to hit the road!  meg (the littlest little jones), kit kittredge and i cashed in mr. jones’s hilton points, packed up the station wagon and headed home to chicago for a terrific long weekend.  we saw gorgeous trees along the way, wearing their flashy fall colors, but when we got to town, it was all non-stop big city technicolor.

some of the colors on our weekend palette: breast-cancer-awareness pale pink atop the hancock center, domestic-violence-awareness violet ribbons on the trees at 4th presbyterian church, “blue man group” blue, raspberry-red crazy-daisy chandeliers at american girl cafe, and a sky-blue skyline and welcoming red at the chicago avenue subway station.
