travelogue: atlanta

meg and i had a huge, fun, green-tinted weekend: a trip to atlanta to visit dearest friends and see “wicked” with them one more time.  (by also taking in “high school musical 3″ (so fun, and a much better film than the slightly snarky review in the new yorker  would have you believe!) and making a trip to the american girl doll boutique, i believe that we acheived the tween pop-culture trifecta.)  as gifts for our hostesses, meg stenciled halloween t-shirts that we’d dyed green (with a mix of rit dye’s kelly green and yellow)(and yes, we’re still cleaning up the laundry room) with designs from stencil 1

in honor of the amazingly talented carmen cusack (above, right), whom we saw as ”elphaba” (the girl with magic, passion, and green skin) here are some greens i feel passionate about: benjamin moore’s grasslands #502, annapolis green #687 (both pictured below, chez  jones) and georgian green # hc-115, sherwin williams’s tansy green #6424, and pratt & lambert’s clover #22.20 (shown a few posts below on a table) and nurturing #18.5.
