super-lovely interior designer robin selberg found lamps for her client that were perfect in every way…except the color. her request was to keep the look exactly as is, but change them to a particular green:
here are some “afters” of the very blue-and-peach secretary pictured a couple of entries below…a little benj. moore linen white (or in this case, a lot of linen white) was just what it needed. now it is truly fit for the lovely homecoming queen to whom it belongs:

as you know, one of mrs. jones’s favorite little things is a terra cotta pot done up in a happy, vintage-y, colorful finish. these were done for a lovely client who found tiny christmas trees to place in them and give as gifts.
if benjamin moore’s #170 (traditional yellow) walls with glaze are the “little black dress” of wall finishes (see post below), then something painted in white (with a little umber glaze to mellow it) is your fave jeans and perfect white t-shirt. so when lovely clients request that a piece of furniture be lightened up and made to work in several different situations, it’s time to pop [...]
among all the lovely cards, calls and treats (thanks, everyone!) two surprises appeared today that were doubly sweet because they were given by very special people in mrs. jones’s life, and created by two exceptional, enterprising young ladies, who, coincidentally, both credit their grandmothers for inspiring their ideas.
