continuing may-hem

the crazy pace continues, with all the school-year-ending events and activities piling up.  meg’s school celebrates the girls’ move to middle school with a special chapel program and reception.  (agreeing to put it together seemed like a brilliant idea last fall.)  luckily, mrs. jones had a stellar committee to help cut photos, burlap and ribbon, and wax and paint dozens of pots.  since st. mary’s school has been producing top-quality girls since 1847, a farmer’s market theme seemed appropriate.  joy at the hope jar helped me choose these vintage seed packets, which candaice at kinko’s was able to copy on to cardstock so that the backs and fronts matched perfectly.  each darling member of the pure, organic, hand-picked class of 2017 was represented as a sprouting, healthy vegetable in a little painted pot. the beloved faculty and staff ”grew” in taller centerpieces.  congratulations, girls!

and, as you know, mrs. jones’s favorite moment in may…when the artwork comes home!  many thanks to our excellent art teachers kathleen mc elroy and darla linerode-henson for gently encouraging the little joneses to express themselves so well.
