in anticipation of tomorrow night’s long-awaited season premiere of mr. jones’s and my only truly “must” tv, we are having our own tiny “mad men” moment.  (and it is not cocktail-related.  at least not yet.)  below, my father’s “corporate photographic portrait” by fabian bachrach, circa 1962…selena mcadams  suggested it be displayed (brilliantly, cheekily) alongside my pair of amy rowan’s collaborative prints.  and though my nattily attired dad worked in manhattan for IBM during the “mad men” era, unlike don draper and the scoundrels at sterling cooper, he was exceptionally well behaved, and always on the train back to greenwich in time for dinner.
