nothing nearly as poetic as the twelve days of christmas, but this week seems to have become all about large quantities of things:
two little joneses taking eight final exams, twenty-eight wrapped packages for the 5th grade class angel family, fourteen coffee cakes for teachers, forty-eight special treats for friends, two projects left to wrap up, and one more trip to the post office.
hope holiday preparations are going smoothly for all of you.

Mrs. Jones…I must ask…what treat did you give your children’s friends? I love the coffee cake idea for teachers too! I did Dinstuhls chocolate, but a recent success in baking may have me on that path next year!
of course, dinstuhl’s is always a good idea! meg and i love to do anything from the “cake mix doctor” and “cupcake mix doctor” cookbooks…each of her cake recipies can be split into two loaf/cake pans, so each double batch gives you four cakes…and a quick trip to the restaurant supply store for tins and cute little cake boxes (for a few cupcakes each) to make things easy to go. (we go to the lit store on union avenue.) hope this helps…merry christmas!
