between snow days and school holidays, there were precious few hours this week to clock in and continue work on the cherry blossom project, but here is an update:
first, the trees are mapped out with tape…
then, roots, trunks and branches grow.
still to come: more blossoms and leaves, butterflies and a bird (or two), a little ground for the trees to root in, some softening up of the whole wall with very fine steel wool and glaze, and some better photos. (also a gold star for my lovely client, who is in contention for the most-patient-person-ever grand prize.)

fabulous, of course.you silver leafed and stenciled over the leaf? did you freehand in the trunks? if all this is already in your blog and i have not gotten to it yet, never mind and i’m embarrassed
