lovely memphis designer anna lattimore has the table front & center in her beautifully-edited guest vignette at market central this month, too, which i am so grateful for.

mrs. jones is thrilled to have recently become a “hedgie”, and has had so much fun getting in on aussie blogger millie’s adventures – both hilarious and touching - in travel and design, over the laurel hedge. 

catherine golden (of domino fame), a long-time friend and inspiration, has recently begun penning the golden touch.  cat is a full-time attorney and all-around cool chick with a passion for design and art history.   you will be amazed at her thrift shop finds and the projects she manages to pull off on the weekends!

the workshops have been chock-full of non-stop information and lovely fellow learners.  it’s been exciting to learn a whole new approach to furniture painting (along with the art history to put the techniques and layers in context)…i am thrilled to have a completely new finish selection to offer to my clients.  in photographs, these samples may not look awfully different from what you’ve seen, but they feel and wear in a new/old way.  i promise you will love them, and as soon as amy’s organic, clove- & lavender-scented line of products officially debuts, you’ll get all the details here.

is it because i so want print not to be dead?  or because the clothes remind me of some of the gorgeous things in one of my favorite etsy shops, small earth vintage? 

(yes, i fell right for it and hit this tempting little button.  it seems i am not the only one…though everyone else caught the first issue but me!  where was i in november?)

 another distraction: this similar-but-different stop-motion video for a bubbly tune, starring my inpiration-crush katie sokoler of color me katie…if you have another minute or two.

which she now (cleverly) uses as her coffee table.

 lee, who was recently admitted to the pharmacy grad program at the university of mississippi (go, lee!), had two tables culled from the attics of generous grandmothers.  to snazz them up for a chic apartment befitting a lovely young lady in a freshly starched white lab coat (decorated by her equally chic mom, my fab sis-in-law anne), the prescription was for a high gloss course of treatment in benjamin moore’s white dove, #0c.17:

(and just for good measure, a small dose of fresh hardware from anthropologie.)

one thing that did get finished and delivered this week was a set of wooden frames.  they were built by chris garner for my lovely client, whose request was for large, random, softened-up polka dots in a neutral scheme:

colors: benjamin moore’s ivory white (925) with bennington gray (hc.82) dots, and a little tinted glaze.
