in just a few weeks – at long last! – me & mrs. jones will be opening a teaching studio in the cooper/young neighborhood of mid-town memphis. classes of all kinds are being planned: painted furniture techniques, stenciling, gilding, wall finishes, annie sloan chalk paint methods…and the list will grow…mrs. jones will be mining her rich vein of talented friends as teachers, too, so there are endless possibilities as to what will be on offer! tara is working right this minute on new pages for our website where you’ll be able to find all the details on upcoming workshops. (custom work will also continue, though on a slightly more limited basis.)
there will be a little shop, too, that (at least to begin) will be open on wednesdays and thursdays and on scheduled workshop days, with friday and saturday times by appointment. i am thrilled to finally be able to to tell you that we’ll be carrying the full line of annie sloan’s paint products – chalk paint, waxes, lacquer, and books – as well as specialty brushes, gilding supplies, stencils, cheesecloth, and other things you might need that are difficult to find in memphis. my vintage redux pieces will be available there as well.
as we see what you like/want/need, we will expand shop hours, class topics and merchandise, so please don’t hesitate to let us know via email {stephanie (at) mrsjonespaintedfinishes (dot) com}, a comment here, or a suggestion posted to the me & mrs. jones facebook page.
we’ll stick our toes in with (limited) retail hours in early february, while we renovate the classroom and working spaces. coming in april: an opening celebration and full schedule of workshops. if you’d like, please click on the “contact” button at the top of the screen, and add your name to our mailing list so that we can send you all the news. and as always, check back here for late-breaking developments.
