my exceedingly clever friend, karen klawinski, found these terra cotta pots with really cool drainage holes…they look like something right out of gertrude jekyll’s greenhouse! she asked me to put a vintage-y painted finish on them, then she fixed them up with just-about-to-bloom paperwhites, ribbon, and moss to give as christmas gifts.
karen and katherine kaelin (another of my dear and clever friends) sell fabulous antiques and gifts here in memphis…visit them at le cadeau within toad hall (central avenue & cooper street) and la maison (4768 poplar avenue) to see their well-edited and irresistible selection of things for the home. (mrs. jones had such a good time being part of their annual gift, art & antique market in october. i heart le cadeau!)
