these fabulous old shutters are a great find for a lovely client by sharp-eyed memphis designer robin selberg. they will flank a window on a grand staircase landing, adding character aplenty. all they needed was a little cleaning up, a handful of nails and a bit of glue to rein in some runaway louvers, and a good rub-down with myland’s antique pine wax.
mylands is a miracle in a can. it adds wonderful, mellow color and does all the things only a top-notch paste wax can do: restore, protect, shine, and of course give that wonderful feel and heavenly smell! my lovely friends karen klawinski and katherine kaelin keep me stocked up…they carry mylands (in all three colors) at le cadeau, toad hall, midtown memphis.

I’ve browsing through your site and really love your work. I have been a decorator that does her own venetian plaster and decorative painting. For furniture I have been hiring a friend who for the most part does good work. Her distressed furniture isn’t anywhere as beautiful as your work ( I do feel bad saying that). I don’t like what she topcoats with. Are you using this wax? I think I might like to try this myself. Again, your furniture is beautiful.
